Good Governance and meaningful participation in democracy

Good governance is hindered when communities due to mistrust and alienation cannot participate in decision making and when the government cannot deliver its services in a citizen-responsive way, without transparency and accountability. This requires a whole of society approach.

  • Facilitating connections between state and its citizens  for policy and legal reform and proper implementation
  • Enhance public awareness and civic engagement by sharing know-how, tools and strategies through local, national and regional networks
  • Highlighting specific barriers to women’s participation, including focus on sexual bribery as a form of gender based violence
